Becoming a Controller in Ontario

Most companies who are hiring Controllers are seeking someone with any of the three professional designations (CA/CMA/CGA).  The Controller is often held directly responsible for all financial reporting for the business, including account reconciliation, payroll, inventory control, journal entries and other month/year-end procedures, preparing annual operating budgets, etc.  Experience in financial reporting and analysis is usually a requirement for these types of positions.
