Becoming a Law Clerk in Ontario
Congratulations on your interest in
continuing your legal education and taking the first step in your
exciting new career as a Law Clerk!
In Ontario, Law Clerks are employed by
governmental agencies, law firms of all sizes, as well as financial
institutions and corporate entities. Positions can be found as
permanent, full-time Clerks, temporary/short-term assignments, or
contract work of a fixed duration.
Although many programs are offered, it is
highly recommended that you ensure your credentials will be recognized
by The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario prior to commencing a course.
This will optimize your opportunities for attaining employment once your
program has been completed.
