Becoming a Lawyer in Ontario

Lawyers in Ontario work both within and outside of the traditional legal practice, including roles within the government agencies, corporate entities, financial institutions, politics, and may also qualify to be appointed to all levels of the Ontario Courts.

Ontario boasts six law schools, each of which have their own entrance requirements and application processes.  Before you write the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), you should carefully review the academic offerings, requirements, and application processes for the schools to which you will be applying.  The Ontario Universities Application Centre has an on-line application process called the Ontario Law School Application Service (www.ouac.on.ca/olsas) which each of the schools utilize.
